What is your job?

I am a PR and event consultant. I help clients achieve their business goals regarding community engagement, stakeholder management and business growth through a range of creative means. We specialize in creating innovative and results driven events for our clients that are strategic and well orchestrated. Safety and enjoyment are paramount on my list of priorities.

How did you get it?

I have a Master of Communication (with Distinction) and an Advanced Diploma of Event Management (plus a few other qualifications). I’ve worked in the industry for approximately 27 years. Over that time I’ve held a range of roles from PA to Account Manager, Marketing Officer to Principal Consultant. I’ve served on Boards and enjoyed continuously learning about industry developments.

Why do you love it?

No two days are ever the same in my industry. One day I’m working with celebrities the next day I’m helping with a community fundraising event. I love the fact that I get to talk to people and make them happy.

What is your connection to Penrith?

I live in Penrith, I met my husband here and I’m raising my family in Penrith. It’s a vibrant suburb that has the sporting, educational, shopping and health services that I value. But, it also has wide open spaces that I can explore with my children.

What is Women of Penrith?

An opportunity to take those negative comments that girls and young women hear and turn them into a positive reflection of their personality and skill.
